RACING.
OTAKI MEETING
Tbe Olaki Maori Racing Club’s winter meeting was commenced yesterday in fine, but cold weather. There was a record attendance. A feature of the meeting was the big dividends paid, iu almost every case being well above the ordinary. The totalisator arrangements were adversely criticised, a large amount of money being shut out in every race.
The following are the results ; Maiden Hack. Kilrain 1, Eambton 2, War Queen 3. Flying Hack Handicap.—Eady Volga 1, Katua 2, Semaphore 3.
Hack Hurdles. —Silver Cluse x, Elfish 2, Goodwin Park 3. Raukawa Cup. —Kfaasmiu 1, The Rover 2, Sir Tristram 3. Otaki Hack Handicap.—Walkebua 1, Bonnie Boy 2, Brown Trout 3. Rahui Handicap. —Hermia 1, Makara 2. Bally Shannon 3. Birthday Welter. —Parewanui 1, Strategist 2, Blend 3.
