TWO WOMEN ARRESTED AT NAPIER.

Napier, May 20

A married woman, Christina Earsen, is now lying in a very critical condition at the Napier Hospital as the result, it is alleged, of an instrument having been used upon her for an unlawful purpose. Mary Eovell and Annie Soiomonser have been arrested in connection with the affair and remanded till to-morrow morning. Mary Eovell was charged with counselling Christina Earsen on May 13th to use an instrument upon herself lor an unlawlul purpose, and Annie Solomonser with using the instrument. After Christina Earsen's evidence had been taken the two accused were allowed out on bail of each and one surety of £SO.
