They used Hawk.es’ Excelsior Sonorous Band instruments —a complete set. in the hrst test piece tins noted Wellington Band was allotted the maximum number oi points, the judge declaring that he had never heard better playing, and commending in eulogistic terms the tone and Diend. The Wellington Tramway Sand, also using a complete set of Havvkes’ Excelsior Sonorous instruments, won the B Grade. The judge congratulated this band on their playing. These two successes in Grade A and Grade B, on such a great occasion, are worthy wins lor riawkes, wnose instruments are preeminent ail over the world. Bandsmen!
