ENTERTAINMENTS.
SKATJ NG
The attendance at the Municipal .Rink last night was again large, tl Lot c gta - to its utmost. The enthusiasm displayed by the skaters proved to be increasing and • ref ore the end or the season the ti k will posses* some very fine and graceful skaters, Piter since the rink has been opened all roughness has been put dowu, but last night it was very noticeable, and if this sort of thing is not stopped-it will greatly affect the attendance, because the ladies attending should be given a chance of having an enjoyable night’s “rolling” as well the men. The learners’ room is still well patronised and one can notice a vast improvement by those who have enough confidence to venture out in the big hall. The notice system proves to be a very good one, and favourable comments are made by skaters as to the great improvement on the old st} le. The rink will be open to-night and Thursday, when, no doubt, there will be large attendances.
