CADET NOTES.

A good start has been made with the work for the new year and the class firing has been commenced. The establishment is as follows: —Captain, H. Gabites, .Lieutenant, A. Wilson, Second Lieutenant S, Parlane, ColourSergeant R. Coley, Bergeauts, D. Mackie, A. Thomson, G. Walsh, Corporals, L. Robinson, L. Read, C. Coley, W. Seeker, and 43 privates, making 54 of all ranks.

At this afternoon's parade Captain Gabites announced that the following cadets have been awarded marksmen’s badges for class firing : —Sergeant Barber, Colour ■ Sergeant Austin, Sergent H. Robinson and Sergeant D. Mackie. Sergeant Barber receives a gold badge for being the best shot in the company,
