MR VEITCH ACCEPTS AN APOLOGY.

Wanganui, March 14

Mr Veitch M.P., has accepted a withdrawal and apology from Martin Tee, of Wellington, in respect to charges made by the latter during the general election campaign that Mr Veitch, as president of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, had drawn expenses to which he was not entitled. Tee says there is no truth in the allegations, and expresses regret. Mr Veitch has withdrawn the legal proceedings which were pending.
