MOTOR FATALITY.

Auckland, March 6

A fatal motor car accident occurred at 5 o’clock this morning, and resulted in Mrs Prouse, of Manganui, being killed, and Mrs Jordan, wife of Canon Jordan (Mayor of Taurauga), being seriously injured. Both ladies, who were sisters, were on a visit to relatives. The ladies were crossing the road at the time, when a motor car, driven by Garnet Campbell, came along and knocked them down, throwing Mrs Jordan aside, and running over Mrs Pro use.

Mrs Jordan sustained a broken arm, three broken ribs and a cut on the head, besides being severely bruised. She now lies in the hospital in a serious condition.
