A HUSBAND’S CONFESSION.

New York, Feb. 27

Mrs Brown and a man named John Aldern were found on the roadside at Tacoma, apparently battered to death with a club. The husband of Mrs Brown confessed to murder in the second degree. He stated that he had quarrelled with his wife, and lay in wait for her and Aldern. He struck them down, but his wife rose, and he pursued her, killing her with a blow on the head.
