AN IDEAL WIFE.
A glowing tribute to the many virtues of his wile is expressed iu the will of Mr Herbert Harris, of 405, Coventry Road, Birmingham, engineer and commission agent, v\ ho died on July 28th last, leaving estate ot the gross value ot ,£5481. He bequeathed his household and personal effects and considerable stores ”to my most virtuous, faithful and dearly beloved wife,” and iu making an additional bequest ot £2,000 to her he said that this was " not as a recompense of her infinite merit towards me, or for the incomparable love, zeal, aud hearty affection ever shown uuto me, or for those her so rare aud many virtues of charity, modesty, fidelity, wisdom, patience, aud a uimd replete with all piety aud goodness, which deservelh to be honoured, loved aud esteemed above all the trausitory weaii.ii and treasure of this world, aud therefore by no price of earthly richness can by me be valued recompensed or requited —to her, therefore, my most virtuous, faithful aud entirelyloved wife, not, as I say a recompense, but as a true token aud testimony of my unspeakable love, affection, estimation, aud reverence, long since fixed aud settled in my hea:t and soul towards her.”
