ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY SCHOOL.
A very pleasant function took place in All Saints’ Sunday school on Thursday evening, when the children of the Sunday school were given their prizes, Mr W. S. Stewart, the superintendent, presented his report for the past year, which disclosed that the school was in a flourishing condition. | There were a hundred children on the roll, and the average attendance was excellent, but parents were reminded that they could make it very much better if they would see that their little ones went regularly to Sunday school. Mr Stewart eulogised the selfsacrifice and enthusiasm of the teaching staff. He also complimented the school on its good conduct and progress, and was delighted to present to the vicar the report of such a good year’s work. The vicar then thanked Mr Stewart lor his report, and stated how pleased he was with the work the superintendent and his staff of teachers had done during the year. He called upon the children to give their supiulendeut hearty cheers, which the little one?, did, | showing their love and zeal for his kindliness and interest in them. Mr R. T. Betty supplied the musical items of the evening with selections on his gramaphoae, which were highly appreciated. The vicar read out the names of the prize winners, and explained the system of marking. A book could only be accounted a prize when it was won, and under this system every child had a chance of winning a prize, provided they worked. The following is a list of those winning prizes:—Girls : First, Elizabeth Bcden, Agatha Bodeu, Sarah Boden, Kathleen Betty, Eva Thompson, Nellie Robinson, Grace Robinson, Erica Chalmers, Maggie Procter, Doris Small, Elsie King. Second : Beatrice Page, Milva Collins, Hilda Thompson, Irene Baylis, May Baylis. Intaut ; Edna Collins, Marcia Small, Maggie Reid, Maud Reid, May Bradley, Myrtle Andrew, Olive Andrew. Boys : First, Willie Baker, Willie King, Arthur Baker, Arthur Thompson, Darcy Ball, Stanley Collins, Jack Reid, Infant : John Baylis, Eouis Page, John Procter, Edward Thompson, Roy Parker, Charlie Procter, Stanley Thompson, Edward Robinson, Arthur Fuller, Eric Peterson.
