HORSE STUNG TO DEATH.

A most extraordinary affair took place at Halcombe on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the death ot a horse. At noon on that day Mr Charles Natzke rode home to dinner and hitched his horse near the fence. Shortly after, his little child alarmed him by crying out, and drawing his attention to the strange behaviour of his horse, which was plunging and .rearing in an unaccountable manner. He rushed over and found the hack covered by a swarm of bees, which were torturing him terribly. With the assistance of a neighbour, Mr Natazke attempted to rescue the unfortunate horse, with considerable damage to himself from the bees, but all their efforts were in vain, tor the horse (which was the property of Mr George F'rauklin) succumbed to its injuries.
