BOWLING.
On Saturday afternoon two more heats for the trophy competitions were played, and the closeness of the scores in the pairs must be very gratifying to the handicapper, Mr Stunned. The greens are getting very fast now and the drawing capacity of them is increased. A visitor from one of the Auckland clubs, who was in Foxton last week, said that the Foxton green was one of the best he had played on. We must compliment caretaker Spring lor the condition of the club’s property. The following are Saturday’s scores :
HENNESSY PAIRS. Spring Petrie Clemett (1) 22 Woods (8 behind) 19 STUNNEEE TROPHY (singles). Munro (4) 32 J. Ross (5) 14 On Monday evening Rimraer scr, beat Woods scr, b} 17 to 12, alter an interesting game lor the same trophy.
