AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual general meeting of members of the Foxton Amateur Dramatic Society was held in the Town Hall supper room on Thursday evening. There was a fair attendance of members and Dr. Adams occupied the chair. The financial statement submitted showed that the Club would start the year with a debit balance.

The following officers were elected tor the ensuing year : President, Dr. Adams; * Vicepresidents, Messrs H. Greig and A. Fraser; secretaay, Mr A. M. McCall; treasurer, Mr E. Healey; management committee, Mesdames Phillips. Greig and Boyes, and Messrs Whibley and Boyes; selection committee, Messrs Dr. Adams, Fraser and Boyes: auditor, Mr A. J. Kellow. The subscription fee was fixed at 5s for gentlemen and 2s 6d for ladies.

It was decided to hold a number of social evenings during the coming winter. A new piece is to be decided upon and put into rehearsal almost immediately. Prices of admission to the Society’s future entertainment was fixed at 2s, is 6d and is.

A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Dr. Aams, Healey and Whibley was set up to draw up rules to be submitted to a general meeting for adoption. The meeting terminated after passing a vote of thanks to the chair.
