FIRE AT SHANNON.

The Shannon Land and Timber Company’s mill in Vance Street, Shannon, was destroyed by fire yeterday. The fire started in some shavings, and is believed to have been caused by someone dropping ashes from his pipe. The building was totally destroyed, together with all the machinery. The greater part of the dressed timber was saved by the aid of a band of willing helpers.
