The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Palmerston N., report : During the week we have held sales at Raugiotu, Raumai, Palmerston N., and a clearing sale on account of Mr A. Richards.

At Raugiotu we had a good entry of cattle, with a fair attendance of buyers, resulting in a brisk sale, very little being turned out unsold. We quote; Cattle: Weaners, 20s to 30s 6d ; yearlings (small), £2 6s to £2 9s , yearling steers, £2 ns to £2 15s; yearling heilers, £2 16s; - 18-months heifers, £3 8s fid to £3 gs; 18months heifers (Jersey cross) £4 10s ; store cows, £3 to 19s; cows and calves, £3 gs ; forward cows, £4 8s ; springing cows, £4 7s fid to £5 10s ; fat cows, £4 19s to ,£5 los ; 3 and 4-year bullocks, £7 ; bulls, £2 los to £4 15s.

A: Raumai small entries came forward, but everything was quitted with the exception of one pen. The following prices were realised : —Sheep : Woolly lambs, 7s fid; 2-tooth wethers, res qd. Cattle: Weaners, 28s to 335, 2>4year steers, £3 4s ; fat cows, £3. At Palmerston, on Thursday, we had a heavy entry ot cattle. There was a keen demand, and a good sale resulted, practically every line being sold at prices in favour of the vendors: —Cattle: Weaners, 23s to 38s fid ; weaners (good quality), £2 7s fid ; yearling heifers, £2 8s to £3 ; empty Holstein heifers, £4 10s; empty heifers, tss fid to £4 ; Jersey cross heifers in calf, £4 4s ; store cows, £2 6s to £3 14s ; springing heilers, £4 17s fid ; forward cows, £4 12s ; 18-mouths heifers, 2s ; fat heifers, £4 5s ; fat cows, ,£5 to ,£5 12s fid ; 4-year bullocks, £7 3 s - At the sale on account of Mr A. Richards, cows made up to £l7, springing heifers £5 2s fid to £7 2s fid, 15-months heilers in calf £3 15s to £5, weaner heifers 25s to £2 Bs, 6-year gelding £2O.
