Craigiellachie’s dam, Flora McDonald, was one ot the most succesful showing mares in the colony, by Lord Salisbury, dam Nellie by Emperor, dam Kattie by Blackleg (imp), from Victoria. Craigievar (imp) by Old Times, dam Maggie by Prince of Wales. Craigiellachie, sire of Craigieburn, commanded the highest price for any sire ever imported into the Australasian colonies. Craigieburn has a Show career second to none in this Dominion. See Record. The above will show that he is descended from the best blood ever imported into the colonies.
