A Welter Weight fifteen round contest for the championship of New Zealand and £SO, between Diuny Murphy and Archie Leckie, was won by the former after a tame go.

Paiiiatua, Last Night. William Griffin, aged 46, shot himself in the abdomen to-day. He had been in illhealth, and was unable to eat or sleep. His condition is serious.
