Martin has been appointed Registrar of Dogs, for the Borough of Foxton, and all fees in respect of same must be paid to him at his office, next to Council Chambers, Main Street. The fee for dogs is 10s, but will be reduced to 5s if paid before the 31st January, 1912, after which date the full fee of ten shillings will be charged, and sued for without further notice. On 25th and 26th DECEMBER. —With the exception of the Wellington-Auckland Up and Down Ordinary and Extra Express trains, the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wellington-Napier Up and Down Mail trains, the Wellington- Wanganui and Palmerston North-Napier Up and Down Relief Mail trains, the 7 a.m. Palmerston North-Welling-ton, the 4.15 p.m. Wellington-Pal-merston North trains which will run as usual, the ordinary timetable will be suspended. Other trains, stopping if required at all stations for passengers, will run as under : FOR PALMERSTON NORTH. —Foxton depart 9 a.m., and 5.20 p.m. (on 26th only). FOR FOXTON. Palmerston North dep 9 a.m. (26th only), 5.35 p.m. on 25th, and 6.20 p.m. on 26th December. ON 27th AND 29th DECEMBER. —The usual 5.35 p.m. Palmerston North-Foxton train will leave Palmerston North at 5.55 p.m. FALMERSTON NORTH RACES. 26th, 27th and 29th DECEMBER. ON 26th DECEMBER (Boxing Day).—Special race trains will leave Palmerston’ North at 9.55, 10.40, xi.o, 11.iS, and H. 33 a.m., returning from Racecourse at 5.10, 5.30, 5.40, 6.0 and 6.5 p.m. Special train leaving racecourse at 6.5 p.m. will connect with the 6.20 p.m. train from Palmerston North to Foxton. The 9 a.m train from Foxton to Palmerston North will run via the Racecourse. ON 27th AND 29th DECEMBER —Special race trains will leave Palmerston North at 10.10, 10.46, 11.10, and H. 33 a.m., returning from Racecourse at 5,10, 5.30, 6.0 and 6.13 p.m. The usual 5.35 p.m. Palmerston North-Foxton train will leave Palmerston North at 5.55 p.m., Foxton arrive 7.30 p.m. FARES. Palmerston North to Racecourse, return 2s 6d, irrespective ot class, including admission to Course, available for day of issue only. Single fare Racecourse to Palmerston North Qd. I ickets as above may be obtained at Wellington, Foxton, and Palmerston North or from guards on trains. Goods traffic will be suspended on 25 th and 26th December and Ist January.
