NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. In pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1908, and its Amendments, I JEREMIAH HURLEY, Re--9 turning Officer for the Electoral District of Otaki, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 2lst day of November, 1911, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district; and that the latest hour for receiving nomination of candidates will be noon on the 27th day of November, igil; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on the 7th day of December, IQII. Every man desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination paper as prescribed by section 105 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before noon on the 27th day of November, 1911. IN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, I, Jeremiah Hurley, Returning Officer f< a - the Otaki Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 7th day of December, 1911, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Otaki, simultaneously therewith a LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals: I Vote For Continuance i Vote For No-License And concurrently with the taking of the said Licensing Pt II there will be submitted for the determination of the Electors of the said Licensing District the question whether National Prohibition shall come into force throughout New Zealand. The question will be submitted in the following form : I Vote Against National Prohibition. I Vote for National Prcnibiiion. Nominations of persons to appoint Scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto must be lodged with me not later than S o'clock in the afternoon of the 30th day of November, 1911. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 2nd day of I December, 1911, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at my office iin Manakau publicly consider all I nomination-papers of persons to appoint Scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the Licensing Foil for the said Licensing District and in respect of the National Prohibition Poll.
