LIBERTY

The Liquor Press is very strong on the cry of Liberty. They say in very big letters, Vote For Liberty. Whose Liberty do they want ? THEIR OWN, to begin with, and to end with. They want liberty to continue making money out of the degradation of their fellows. But their liberty to sell liquor means the bondage of some thousands of men to a degrading habit. This degrading craving is the immediate product of License and Regulation. The drinking man is called on by the Trade to vote for Continuance and Liberty. He might well reply, No ! I shall vote for Prohibition and my own Liberty.
