I A letter was read from Mrs Witchell staling that the writer understood that the winner of her special prize in the fancy work class is a professional worker, and therefore not eligible to compete in amateur classes. It was unanimously decided to award the prize, but in future to set out in the catalogue that all classes of work entered in thus class as In the others were for amateurs only. This matter was referred to the rules revision committee. It was decided to draw up the catalogue tor the autumn show without delay and a committee meeting will be called cl an early date for this purpose. A discusiou took place in respect to overlapping the judge’s award and the popular vote iu inspect to decorated tables. It was pointed out that if the popular vote was to be contiuued in this class it should he separated from exhibits to be classed by the judge and that greater care should be exercised iu issuing the voting tickets.
