Craigieburn is a beautiful dapple grey, with a mild temper, and a great mover. It has been reckoned by competent judges that he is one of, if not the best, yet bred in the colonics. PEDIGREE: Sire Craigiellachie by Craigievar (imp), dam Gipsy Queen by Vanquisher, g dam Marchioness of Lome, by Lord Lome (imp), g g dam Queen of the Bankers, by Young Banker (imp). Craigiellachie’s dam, Flora McDonald, was one of the most succesfiil showing marcs in the colony, by Lord Salisbury, dam Nellie by Emperor, dam Kattic by Blackleg (imp), from Victoria. Craigievar (imp) by Old Times, dam Maggie by Prince of Wales. Craigiellachie, sire of Craigieburn, commanded the highest price lor any sire ever imported into the Australasian colonies.
