PICTURE SHOW
To-morrow uight another splendid programme will be screened in the Coronation Town Hall. Some of the items are ‘‘Soap Bubbles” a really pretty drama, aud the “Man who Learned,” aud “His Trust,” will be also very stirring dramas. The scenic films are most interesting, chief of which is“Hisrtoric Spots iu Old London” aud “Italian Switzerland,” will give a good idea of the beautiful scenery of that country. For a good laugh see “Foolshead at a Cockfight,” aud “Lee aud the latest Fashions,” will set the gravest person laughing. “Springheeled Jack” must be seen to be appreciated. The “Sweet-making Industry” should prove a very attractive film.
The splendid house on Saturday night testified to the popularity of the Municipal Pictures, and the Council are determined that the standard so raised shall not be lowered. Those who are unable to attend on Saturday nights will get a real good programme tomorrow night.
TRANS-OCEANIC ENTERTAINERS & BEEERINGERS
On Friday evening next Foxton residents will be treated to a really first-class entertainment by the above named combination, who are direct from America and have performed in every civilised country in the world. The patty are all Americans, and are headed by the greatest ol all uovelty entertainers, Martinetti and Grossi, comedy surprise artists. Says the Dunedin Star; “Martinetti and Grossi, and Miss Nada Moret were really worth the orchestra and all the others put together, and the originality of their performance raised a cheer like a thunder clap.” These great artists are ably assisted by Mr Wallson, the silver-voiced baritone, Miss Pearl Gillsou, vocalist and motto songstress, Howard Verne, humorist, and the world's trio of pantomimists and bellringers who will introduce for the first time in Foxton their beautiful Paradise Bells, which are valued at ,£259 and which produce the most beautiful music on earth. Readers will do well to peruse the company’s advertisement lor fuller particulars, and as the prices are popular a large house is sure to eventuate. The box plan is open at the Town Clerk’s office, where dress circle and stalls seats may be booked without any extra charge.
The annual concert by the pupils of the local State school will be held in the Coronation Hall on Dec. iSlh.
