Craigieilachie’s dam, Flora McDonald, was one of tne most succesful showing mares in the colony, by Lord Salisbury, dam Nellie by Emperor, dam Kattie by Blackleg (imp), from Victoria. Craigievar (imp) by Old Times, dam Maggie by Prince of Wales. Craigiellachie, sire of Craigieburn, commanded the highest price for any sire ever imported into the Australasian colonies.
