GRIM DISCOVERY.

Alklbocrne, November 25

The Inspector of Aborigines in the Northern Territory reports finding iu a cave ou the Roper river a large quantity of remains of human beings of all ages. A native guide has stated that mauy years ago forty or fifty natives camped in the cave and that a flash of lightning passed through it and killed every oue of them.

An aged native told the inspector that his parents took him to see the bodies the day after the incident, which is estimated to have happened seventy years since.
