HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY’S SHOW.

OPENS TO-MORROW

The local Horticultural Society’s Spring Show will be opened in the Coronation Hall to-morrow afternoon a 1 3 o'clock by the President, Mr Alex. Speirs. Judging by the entries so far received, the show promises to eclipse all others, despite the fact that the continuous gales have spoilt a number of the choicest exhibits in the cut bloom classes.

A number of nurserymen have secured spaces for exhibition purposes.

Mr Betty’s orchestra will play several selections ou both show nights. The tea rooms are in charge of Mesdames Seabury and Gibbs. Entries will be received up to 10 a.m. to-morrow.
