Craigieburn is' a beautiful aapple grey, with a mild temper, and a great mover. It has been reckoned by competent judges that he is one of, if not the best, yet bred in the colonies. PEDIGREE: Sire Craigiellachie by Craigievar (imp), dam Gipsy Queen by Vanquisher, g dam Marchioness of Lome, by Lord Lome (imp), gg dam Queen of the Bankers, by Young Banker (imp). Craigiellachie’s dam, Flora McDonald, was one of the most succesful showing marcs in the colony, by Lord Salisbury, dam Nellie by Emperor, dam Kattie by Blackleg (imp), from Victoria. Craigievar (imp) by Old Times, dam Maggie by Prince of Wales. Craigiellachie, sire of Craigieburn, commanded the highest price for any sire ever imported into the Australasian colonies.
