MYSTERIOUS MURDER.
Sydney, November 5. A mysterious murder has occurred at Glebe, a suburb of Sydney. The body of Mr Henry Trevascus, a metallurgist, was touud iu his room at a lodginghouse. iiis head had beeu battered with a heavy implement, and his lace, head aud throat slashed with a razor. It is believed that he had been aead since Tuesday or Wednesday last. Nobody entered his room, which was locked, until his daughter called last night. The door was then lorced and the body discovered. The police are without a clue as to the assailant, but it is suspected that robbery was the motive ot the perpetrator. Finned to Mr Trevascus’s doo% was a memorandum stating that*M he had gone to Goulburn and would return on Friday. This accounts for the late discovery of the crime.
