The High Commissioner cabled to us at noon yesterday as follows : —The hemp market is quiet, small business doing, holders firm. New Zealand good fair spot, ,£2O 5s ; lair, £l9 5s ; Manila £2O 5s ; October-December shipments good lair, £2O 12s 6d ; lair, ,£l9 12s 6d ; Manila, £2O 5s ; Manila output, 24,000 bales.
