The second ballot will be taken in all electoral districts where it is required on the seventh day after the first ballot, fu the House ol Representatives this afternoon an amendment of the Second Ballot Act was introduced by Governor’s message and added to the Legislature Amendment Bill. It provides for the repeal of the provisions that in ten of the districts the second ballot should be taken fourteen days alter the first. The Prime Minister explained that unless the course was adopted the elections w 'Ui.l have to be postponca ml January and that was not desirable. There was no need for a longer interval between the two polls and by fixing the second ballots lor one day the date of the election could be made tea days later than if this were not done.
