The Manawatu Herald. Tuesday, October 17, 1911. NOTES AND COMMENTS.

Everything promises well for the opening ceremonies in connection with the Coronation Town Hall, and the Council have spared no pains to cater for all classes of the community. Those who prefer vocal and instrumental music and pictures, will be served with a splendid bill-of-tare on the opening night, to-morrow. Then, on Friday night a citizens’ ball will be held, and judging by the attention given to details, this should be equally as attractive. In functions of this kind it is impossible to satisfy every one, but we hope the local public will be sufficiently patriotic to make both the concert and ball a magnificent success.
