TENNIS.
The was a good attendance at the courts yesterday. The afternoon was a perfect one, and the display Irom an onlooker’s point of view was interesting. Afternoon tea, in keeping with the weather, was provided by Miss Barber and Miss Cook. A match played between teams picked by Messrs Stevens and Jackson resulted in a win for the former by 50 points, as will be seen from the scores below. Mr Gabites showed better form, and improvement was distinctly noticeable in the play of Miss H. Cook and Miss Stacpoole. Davey was oil his usual form, being a little eager, Stevens’ team.
