CATHOLIC CONFERENCE.
A conference of Catholic clergy of the Wanganui deanery of the Wellington arch-diocese was held at St. Mary’s presbytery yesterday. The visiting clergy, owing to our unsatisfactory railway service, arrived by motor cars. The following were in attendance : Rev. Fathers Holley and Maloney (Wanganui), Costello and Dore (Palmerston North), O’Dwyer and Kinkead (Feilding), Connolly (Taibape), Maillard (Raetihi). The Rev. Father Kelly presided. The Conference discussed matters of a theological nature. After the conference the visitors were hospitably entertained by Father Kelly aud spent an enjoyable social hour. The next conference will be held at Palmerston North in three months time.
