THE BULB SHOW.
TO-MORROW
We remind the public that the inaugural Bulb Show promoted by the local Horticultural Society will be held in the Masonic Hall tomorrow. The Society made this departure in order to promote and encourage the cultivation of this class of blooms and we hope its efforts will be sufficiently encouraging to make the bulb display an annual fixture. The local entries are not very numerous but in order to give growers sa chance of exhibiting their blooms entries will be received by the secretary up to 10 o’clock to-night without a late fee. It is hoped that this will encourage a number who have blooms to make up their minds to show them. Mr Cooper, of Wellington, will have a splendid collection in the Hall for exhibition and his display should attract a good deal of attention. An expert will explain how to cultivate the bulbs in order to get the best results. The show will be opened at 2.30 p.m by the President Mr Alex. Spehs. During the evening Mr Betty’s orchestra will play several selections, and a numbst of vocal items will also be rendered. Afternoon lea rooms will be under the supervision of Mrs W. S. Stewart. Members and their wives and their children under 12 years ot age admitted Iree, and the public is, children half-price.
