LEVIN WINS CHAMPIONSHIP.
The final match of the Horowheuua Union’s senior championship was played at Mauakau on Saturday between Hui Mai and Levin, and resulted in a win for Levin by r i points to three. By their victory over Hui Mai, Levin has secured the for the season. The game was played in four spells of 20 minutes each, and was well contested throughout. In the first two spells there was no score, but in the third McHugh got over. Nepia Winiata failed with the kick. In the final 20 minutes plav was exceptionally fast and furious, Levin having the best of it. For Levin two tries were scored, one each by Saxon and Hitchings, one of which was converted, and for Hui Mai Bevau kicked a penalty goal. The whistle sounded with the score : Levin ... xi

At Wellington on Saturday the Horowhenua juniors met the Wellington juniors and were defeated by nine points to nil.
HOROWHENUA v . WAIRARAPA. Mr R. Smith has selected the following team to represent the Horowhenua Union against Wairarapa at Masterton on Saturday next. The team will leave on' Friday returning on Monday : Taylor Rawiri Pitihira Cobbler M. Winiata Nepia Winiata Neville Winiata Hopa Scia Scia Ripi W. Winiata Reihana Reid George Wilson Kmer., Backs, Ropata and Perimi ; forwards, Gobo and Whareo. Reid will be unable to make the trip and his place will be filled by Gobo.
