STILL AT LARGE.

NO SIGN OF PAWELKA

The police have as yet been unable to trace the whereabouts of Pavvelka, although the vigilance of the searchers has been in no way relaxed. Auckland, August 30.

A constable on his beat in Shortland street in the city tonight noticed a man resembling Pawelka and took him off to the police station. Curiously enough, in addition to facial resemblance he had a mark on his arm similar to one Pawelka is said to bear. The man was able to prove to the satisfaction of the officer that he was not the escapee, and was accordingly released.
