CHRISTCHURCH MURDER CASE.
JACK ARRESTED FOR PERJURY. Christchurch, August 18. Harry Alexander Jack was betore the Supreme Court to-day, charged with the murder, on February 7, of Ethel May Bradley. Evidence was led by the Crown Prosecutor, Mr Stringer, K.C., to much the same effect as that given at previous sessions ot the Court, when Walter Richard Sadler was charged with manslaughter of the woman. No evidence was called by the defence, but Mr Raymond, who with Mr Cassidy represented accused, argued that there was no case to go to the jury. Addressing prisoner, his Honour said he was bound to point out that he would probably be charged with another offence of which he would hear ot later. The jury, without leaving the box, returned a verdict of not guilty. Jack, immediately after the case, was rearrested by Detective Miller on a charge of perjury.
