NEWS FROM SEA. LAKE VIC. We are indebted to Mr Dan O’Connor for the following letter: — “ Last winter my son and I were attacked with dreadful colds. My boy was so bad he could not attend school. I decided to give Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy a trial, and it was highly successful. My cold was cured in one night, and I feel mighty grateful to know that such a cough-remedy as Chamberlain’s can be purchased at such a reasonable price. For sale every where. —Advt. Thomas Rimmer is selling dates at 3d per lb. All other goods, best quality and cheapest prices in town.* thoroughly overhaul the dredge. This had now been completed and he anticipated that when work was commenced again everything would be satisfactory. GENERAL. Accounts amounting to £29 12s xod against loan account and 5s 3d against general account were passed for payment. The Manawatu County Council wrote advising that the bridges erected by the Board were. not according to their requirements and suggested slight alterations.— It was decided to alter bridges as requested. The balance-sheet was received back from the Audit Office without any tags whatever. It was decided to make Mr Hickford a grant of £5 for his work in connection with the stop banks at Moutoa. The Board rose at 10.15 p.m.
