CATHOLIC SOCIAL.
As an indication of the popularity of the socials held under the auspices of the local Catholic Church, one has only to look at the attendance at the one held in the Masonic Hall last night. This was the fourth of the series and although the attendance at each has been good, last night beat all previous records. From a social and financial point of view the function was a pronounced success. The duties of M.s.'C. were capably carried out by Messrs S. Dudson and T. Curtis. The music was supplied by Mr F. C. Berthold with the assistance of Messrs C. Berthold and J. Golder, and extras were played by Miss Eenihan and Mr Anderson. The committee"', desire to tender their thanks to the ladies of the parish for providing a very excellent supper, which was greatly appreciated. The committee, headed by the energetic secretary, Mr J. Golder, are to be congratulated on the completeness of the arrangements. Further socials will be held during the coming months.
