JOHNSON DENIES PREVIOUS MESSAGE. London, July 9. Johnson, in an interview in the Sportsman, denied that he had signed articles to tight Lang and stated he did not want to go to Australia, especially to fight Lang, who he previously easily defeated. A RING FATALITY. Fremantle, July 9. In a boxing tournament a youth named Wooding was knocked down in a six round contest by another youth named Edge. Wooding was removed to the hospital where he died. Edge and six others of the principals of the fight have been arrested.
