CORONATION HALL.

,£253 COLLECTED

At last night’s Council meeting, the Mayor mentioned that the canvass for subscriptions for the Coronation Hall in order that the Government subsidy might be earned had been most successful, an amount of ,£253 having been collected. He said the thanks of the community were due to the Council for initiating the scheme, and particularly to Crs Greig and Coley for having brought the scheme to such a successful termination. He moved, and it was carried, that the Council’s thanks to these gentlemen be recorded on the minutes.
