MUNICIPAL TOWN HALL.

Mr Muller, manager of the Palmerston N. Opera House, accompanied by Mr Kirkland, the electrician, visited Foxtou on Monday, and inspected the hall now in course of erection and conferred with the hall committee. In the course of an interview Mr Muller expressed his surprise at the excellence of the new hall, stating that it was a credit to the town. In short, it was a model theatre. He said with such a modern-equipped theatre Foxton is now bound to have visits from some of the best travelling companies. During his visit Mr Muller pointed out some slight defects in the stage arrangements, which were recognised, and are to be altered. Mr Kirkland gave full particulars about the electrical installation. The result of the visit will be reported to the uext meeting ot the Couucil.
