CORRESPONDENCE.

(TO THE EDITOR.)

Sir, —To the Councillors of Foxton. Having noticed in the Herald a letter a while back that Baker street —leading to nowhere —is going to be repaired before Coley street footpath, along Hussey’s side, which badly wants repairing and has done for some considerable time, I want to enter a protest. The whole trouble is we are all of the working class in Coley street. If we only had some of the “toffs” or a city councillor we would soon get our footpath repaired. Perhaps some day either one or the other may come to live in Coley street. If we are expected to go ou our knees to have the footpath repaired, I am a ratepayer who rerefuses. —I am, etc., A Working Man’s Wife.
