The High Commissioner cabled to us at noon yesterday as follows : —Hemp market quiet, but steady. New Zealand, good fair spot ton, ros ; fair ,£l9 10s, Market for Manila firmer; has been favourably affected by improved American demand and advanced sisal prices. Fair current Manila spot ton, 10s ; forward shipment ss. Manila output, 20,000 bales.
