Auckland, May 22

The Auckland Ministers Association this afternoon passed the following resolution :—“ That the Auckland Ministers’ Association strongly disapproves the introduction of sectarianism into the arrangements for national defenceIt regards such a proposal as denominationalism run mad. It protests against this principle being violated in our senior cadet corps, and affirms its decision to continue to oppose any departure from this principle,”

Dunedin, May 22

At a meeting of the Council of Churches to-night a motion was approved that while deeply appreciating the offer to form church companies ot cadets and nominate officers thereto the Council is oi opinion that the churches as such should take no part in the formation of cadet companies.
