SUPPLYING LIQUOR TO MAORIS.
Gisborne, May 15
At the police court, as the result of a raid made recently by the police at a Maori settlement, John Callaghan, a coachman, was fined £2 for supplying liquor to a native, named Swan, who was also charged with introducing liquor to a Maori kainga, and who was fined £5.
