THE GERMAN EXPEDITION
Berlin, May 4,
Lieut. Filchner, leader of the German Antarctic expedition, who is now en route to Buenos Ayres, forces his way to the Weddell Sea in November, and establishes a station as far south as possible. Here scientific observations will be made extending over at least a year, while lour of the party, with Nansen’s sledges, dash to the South.
Three motor vehicles,.a motor boat, and Manchurian ponies will be taken.
