LADIES & GENTLEMEN. - Will you please accept my heartiest thanks and appreciation at your continued confidence in me by returning me unopposed for another term of office. I have endeavoured in the past to promote such works as shall be for our advancement and profit, consistent with our revenue, and I trust you will ever find me alert to your best interests, and I feel sure that the prosperity of our town can be well left in the hands of the very efficient Council you have just returned. Sincerely vours, G. H. STILES. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD DISTRICT. LADIES & GENTLEMEN. - I thank you sincerely for the substantial majority by which you returned me at the head of the poll yesterday. I look on it as a mark of appreciation of the work I have done in the past in connection with our harbour. I can assure you that it will help me to redouble my efforts in the future and leave no stone unturned, with the help of my fellow members, until we get possession of the wharf. It is necessary to say on this occasion that the ratepayers in the harbour district may be called upon to rate themselves as security for the purchase of the wharf, but it can be clearly proved that the rate will not be called up, as there will be sufficient revenue coming in to meet interest and sinking fund on the loan required. I shall always make every effort to retain your confidence and support in this matter of extreme local importance which I have so much at heart. P. J. HENNESSY. YESTERDAY’S ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS. Ladies & gentlemen. j Please accept my sincere thanks for the generous support accorded me at yesterday’s election. By again electing me as one of your representatives on the Council and also to a seat on the Harbour Board, you have shown that my services as a Councillor during the past two years have been appreciated, and I can assure you that during the coming term I will do all in my power to further your interests and thus merit the confidence you have reposed in me. Again thanking you, I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Faithfully yours, A. J. GIBBS. MUNICIPAL ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS. TO THE ELECTORS. LADIES & GENTLEMEN. I desire to return ray hearty thanks to those who supported my candidature at yesterday’s poll. Although defeated I am not discouraged, and intend again offering my services as one of your representatives on the Board at the first opportunity. My only reason for contesting a seat on the Board was a desire to push the port ahead, and when I again offer my services 1 hope to be honoured by your confidence. Yours faithfully, M. E. PERREAU.
