RIFLE CLUB.
Competition will be commenced on Wednesday next, 26th inst., tor trophies given by the Mayor (G. H. Stiles, Esq.; and Mr J. Colder. The competitions will be open to Shannon, Himatangi, and Foxton Rifle Clubs, under similar conditions to the Perreaulyiimsden Competition. The winner of the Mayor’s trophy will be the competitor first reaching 10 points, and Mr Golder’s trophy will be awarded to the runner-up. Nominations will close on the first two shooting days, Wednesday and Saturday next. All intending competitors are requested to hand their names to the secretary at once, along with the scores of the last three shoots, so as to permit of handicapping. The entry fee is one shilling.
