The Rev. D. C. Bates wires us to-day as follows : Northerly strong winds to gale ; very heavy rain may be expected; river heavy flood : glass tall, rise alter 24 hours to 36 hours. A storm area appears to be approachs ing from the southward. Tidefull; sea considerable on coast.
